The Australian Digital Health Agency is transforming how Australians experience healthcare by enabling people and providers to access the information they need, securely, quickly and in one place. Through national digital services such as My Health Record, Electronic Prescriptions and the 1800Medicare App, we are building a connected health system that gives Australians greater control over their health.

Lead the Agency's cyber threat intelligence and threat hunting functions, ensuring emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities and risks are identified, analysed and mitigated before they impact business operations.

You will provide strategic cyber security advice, enhance real-time monitoring capabilities, support incident response activities, and work closely with government, industry and healthcare partners to strengthen cyber security outcomes across the broader healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead cyber threat intelligence and threat hunting activities across complex ICT environments.
- Identify, analyse and respond to emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities and indicators of compromise.
- Drive proactive threat hunting operations using intelligence, telemetry, logs and security data sources.
- Support and enhance Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities, monitoring and incident response activities.
- Develop and implement cyber security strategies, policies and procedures aligned to government standards.
- Provide expert advice, risk assessments and recommendations to support executive decision-making.




- Build strong relationships with government agencies, industry partners and healthcare stakeholders to facilitate intelligence sharing.
- Deliver threat intelligence products, briefings and cyber risk insights to internal and external audiences.
- Represent the Agency at cross-government forums and cyber security working groups.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing cyber security team while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

- Demonstrated experience leading cyber threat intelligence, threat hunting, cyber operations or security monitoring functions.
- Strong understanding of Australian Government cyber security frameworks, including PSPF and ISM.
- Experience analysing cyber threats, vulnerabilities, logs and security data to produce actionable intelligence.
- Proven capability to develop and implement cyber security policies, strategies and operational improvements.
- Solid stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and communicate across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing teams and delivering complex cyber security or technology programs.
- Relevant cyber security qualifications and/or industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM,



GIAC or equivalent.

Eligibility

Australian citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a national police clearance and the required security clearance, with the ability to attain a higher-level clearance if needed.

Salary: $124,583 - $142,089 plus 15.4% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
