What you'll do

- Plan, monitor and manage work allocation and priorities across the Committee and Secretariat to meet performance standards and service expectations.
- Provide high‑level executive, procedural and operational support to the Manager and Committee Members.
- Provide expert guidance and advice on complex and sensitive appeal matters within the Committee's jurisdiction.
- Facilitate, co-ordinate and contribute to development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, customer experience and business processes.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including housing providers, government agencies and community organisations, to support coordinated service delivery.

- Monitor and follow up with stakeholders to ensure appeal outcomes are finalised within timeframes.

- Proven ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, and procedural frameworks, ensuring accurate, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
- Ability to support boards, committees or decision‑making bodies.
- Possess strong communication, decision‑making and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Be committed to developing staff capability, fostering inclusion and creating a positive team culture.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Exercise sound judgement and empathy when responding to complex situations.
- Ability to work onsite at Burwood three days a week on a roster basis.

This recruitment will also create a talent pool for future opportunities across Housing Strategy & Policy.
