Melbourne Indoor Plants is a growing retail business with stores across South Melbourne, Ravenhall, Ringwood, Preston and Oakleigh .

We’re looking for an Area Manager to oversee and support our 4–5 retail stores on a 13 month contract.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with our Store Managers and retail teams to ensure our stores are well staffed, well presented and delivering excellent customer service and sales results .

- Managing and supporting Store Managers and retail teams
- Rostering and general administration
- Staff training, mentoring and recruitment support
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation
- Visual merchandising, signage and promotions
- Supporting stock management and general retail operations
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues
- Assisting with website and system pricing
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed

About You

We’re looking for someone who:





- Is confident leading teams across multiple locations
- Leads by example and enjoys developing people
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
- Is willing to get involved, take ownership and use their initiative
- A passion for indoor plants or horticulture is highly regarded, but not essential.

The Details

Contract: 13 months – maternity leave cover, commencing late October / early November
Hours: 38 hours per week
Salary: $85,000–$95,000 total package
Locations: South Melbourne, Ravenhall, Ringwood, Preston & Oakleigh
