The Opportunity

Wearn (formerly Mulgoa Quarries) is looking for multiple motivated and reliable Plant Mechanic with proven experience across a variety of quarry and civil machinery.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of heavy mobile plant and quarry equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime across our sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct scheduled servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs on earthmoving and quarrying equipment (e.g. loaders, excavators, dozers, crushers, and screening plants)
- Perform breakdown support and reactive maintenance as required
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with operators and site supervisors to ensure machinery is operating effectively

What We’re Looking For

- Trade qualified Plant Mechanic (Cert III Mobile Plant Technology or Equivalent)
- Minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience in position or similar
- Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment




- Experience working on heavy earthmoving/quarry equipment
- Experience in complete rebuild and service of plant
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- High level of safety awareness and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Current driver’s licence (HR licence highly regarded)
- Forklift, EWP, or High-Risk Work Licence (desirable)
