Up In Stone Sunshine Coast You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, and installing ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic and other tiles to wall, floors and other surfaces in residential.

Task & responsibilities Handle wall and floor tiling materials - Safely handle, move and prepare ceramic, porcelain, stone, glass and other tiling materials, as well as adhesives, grout, screed and waterproofing products. Use of wall and floor tiling tools and equipment - Use a range of hand tools and specialist tiling equipment to measure, prepare, cut and install tiles and stone.

Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and safe working condition. General cleaning and pack up duties - Maintain clean and organised work areas throughout each project, including removal of tile offcuts, waste materials and construction debris. Clean and pack away tools, equipment and unused materials upon completion of work.

Lay ceramic, porcelain, stone and glass tiles - Measure, mark and prepare surfaces before laying tiles to walls and floors. Apply appropriate adhesives and ensure tiles are correctly positioned, aligned, levelled and spaced to achieve a quality finish. Surface preparation; demolition, screeding,



floor levelling and waterproofing - Remove existing tiles and other floor or wall coverings as required and prepare surfaces for recent installations.

Undertake screeding, floor levelling, surface repairs and waterproofing of wet areas to ensure substrates are suitable for tiling. Installation of stone - Measure, prepare and install natural and manufactured stone products to walls, floors and other surfaces. Ensure stone is accurately cut, positioned, aligned and finished to meet project requirements.

Using power tools to prep stone and tiles - Safely operate tile saws, grinders, drills, polishing equipment and other power tools to cut, shape, grind and finish stone and tiles. Carry out detailed cuts and preparation around fixtures, corners, drains and other areas requiring precise fitting.
