Network Security Engineer

Level: Mid to Senior

Contract Duration: 12 months with a strong possibility of extensions

Location: Sydney – Mascot 2 days on site

Role Overview:

n

The Network Security Engineer will join two of our clients on a 12-month contract that is highly likely to extend long term.

n

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in routing and switching with solid experience with security and firewalls. They will also have demonstratable experience with project delivery.

n

Responsibilities:

Networking Expertise:

n

n
- Demonstrate proficiency in both Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
n




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues.
n

n

Project Work:

n

n
- Collaborate with project teams to implement new wireless solutions and network enhancements.
n
- Ensure successful project delivery, meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations.
n

n

Skills and experience required:

n

Technical Skills:

n

n
- Proficiency in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
n
- Fortinet / FortiGate
n
- F5 Load Balancer
n
- Security fundamentals (IPSec, Client VPN, etc)
n
- Routing and Switching (for fundamental network experience)
n

n

Certifications:

n

n
- ITIL certification is a plus.
n

n

Communication and Collaboration:

n

n
- Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n

Problem-Solving:

n

- Proven ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex network issues in a timely manner.
