Job Description

Responsible for the supervision of the smooth and effective daily operation of the Front Desk and ensures that all hotel guests and visitors receive an optimum level of service and care at all times.

This is a hands-on role, highly customer focused, and requires an individual who can lead by example in meeting and maintaining our team brand standards. In addition, you will:

- Oversee all guest arrivals and departures, ensuring room allocations and check in/out processes adhere to agreed procedures and standards.
- Manage and supervise tasks of staff to ensure that highest quality service is delivered and department standards are met.
- Review and implement Procedures
- Communicate with Front Office Manager/General Manager on all matters regarding guest services & hotel operations.
- Assist leadership team with Admin tasks and hotel projects.
- Coordinate and communicate with other hotel departments as required regarding general administration and operations issues.
- Provide management presence at all times by assisting with the handling of guests’ needs and complaints tactfully and efficiently.
- Delivering exceptional guest journey.
- Leading shifts across various departments and ensuring smooth hotel operations.
- Assist running Food & Beverage outlet.

Qualifications

- A natural, bright and bubbly customer service style that sets you apart from the rest.
- Previous experience in the hotel industry/Assistant Manager role or similar role.
- Natural leadership skills with demonstrated results in developing and motivating teams,



your lead by example approach will be infectious.
- Hold a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) and First Aid Training.

Base salary $80,000 + Super + Bonus scheme + Group wide discounts

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

- Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe




- Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

- You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
- You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
- You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- You’ve got a current RSA, RCG and ARCG as per state requirements
