Key responsibilities

- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and measurements.
- Mark out, cut, shape, bend and form metal components.
- Fabricate and assemble truck bodies, frames, panels and related components.
- Perform MIG, TIG and other welding as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools and fabrication machinery safely.
- Inspect completed work to ensure correct dimensions and quality standards.
- Repair and modify damaged or existing truck body components.
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment.

Requirements

- Relevant trade qualification in engineering fabrication or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Metal Fabricator or in a similar role.
- Strong welding, measuring and fabrication skills.




- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Valuable attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Australian driver licence is desirable.
