We’re looking for reliable and safety-focused HC and MC Drivers to join our growing transport team.

About the role

As an HC/MC Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight across metropolitan.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Safely operating HC/MC heavy vehicles
- Collecting and delivering import/export containers
- Completing daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects
- Ensuring loads are secured in accordance with load restraint requirements
- Maintaining accurate paperwork, including container numbers and seals
- Following Chain of Responsibility (COR), fatigue management and company safety requirements
- Providing professional service to customers and other road users

Required / Preferred Experience & Certifications

Container & Wharf Experience





- Current MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) preferred
- Previous wharf and port experience preferred
- Empty container park experience
- Experience collecting and delivering import/export containers
- Good understanding of container procedures, including container numbers, seals and paperwork

Heavy Vehicle / Truck Driving Experience

- Current HC or MC licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated
- Strong heavy vehicle driving experience
- Good knowledge of metropolitan and interstate roads and routes
- Clean driving history preferred
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (COR) , vehicle safety and load restraint requirements
- Ability to complete daily vehicle inspections and identify and report defects

Fatigue Management

- BFM (Basic Fatigue Management) experience/certification preferred
- Experience working within regulated fatigue management requirements
- Understanding of work diary and fatigue recording requirements
- Good understanding of fatigue management and work/rest requirements
- MT DATA experience preferred
