As we continue to expand, we're looking for a proactive and experienced Work Health & Safety Coordinator to help us maintain the highest standards of safety across our manufacturing operations, ensuring our passionate team can keep doing what they do best — delivering exceptional food to children across the country.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Work Health & Safety Coordinator to join our manufacturing operations on a 6-month contract. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you'll play a critical role in driving a culture of safety excellence — working closely with operational teams, management, and external stakeholders to ensure everyone goes home safe, every shift.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll take ownership of the WHS management system, lead incident investigations, manage workers compensation and return-to-work processes, and champion risk management and training initiatives across the site.

What You'll Be Doing

- Coordinate the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of WHS policies, procedures, and safe work method statements
- Manage end-to-end incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Prepare and submit statutory reports to regulatory authorities as required
- Manage workers compensation claims, insurer relationships, and support the RTW process (directly or in partnership with a Rehabilitation Provider)




- Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessments, and job safety analyses; maintain the site risk register
- Deliver WHS inductions and coordinate training for employees, contractors, and visitors
- Monitor legislative changes and advise management on compliance obligations
- Prepare WHS performance reports (leading and lagging indicators) for management
- Promote a consultative, engaged approach to safety across all levels of the workforce

About You

- Certificate IV in WHS (minimum); a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in WHS or related discipline highly regarded
- Minimum 2 years' WHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or high-risk operational environment
- Solid working knowledge of the WHS Act 2011 (Cth) and relevant state/territory legislation
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and WHS documentation development
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organised, systematic, and detail-focused, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines
- High integrity and sound professional judgement
- A team-oriented team player who's equally comfortable working independently
- Confident with Microsoft Office and WHS reporting tools
- A positive, adaptable approach to change
