Peter's Seafood Sydney Fish Market, located in the heart of Sydney Fish Market since 1944, Peter's has gained a huge following in the local and international seafood loving community. Our store has over 100 species of seafood, a sushi & sashimi bar, a freshly shucked oyster bar, our famous aburi scallop station and of course our kitchen, which offers ready to eat and cook to order specialities.

The team is looking for a full‑time Cook to join them. This is a outstanding opportunity where hard work will be awarded. Duties and responsibilities:

- Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations.
- Preparing ingredients for the shift, such as washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
- Following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders.




- Preparing high‑quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
- Checking ingredients for freshness.
- Cooking meals using various techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet customers' expectations.
- Maintaining a sanitary kitchen.
- Storing excess food at the correct temperature to avoid spoilage.
- Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that the refrigerators and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.

Requirements

- Relevant Qualification.
- Minimum of 1 years relevant experience
- Ability to efficiently run the kitchen or restaurant food service
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work as a team leader and part of a team
- Have a genuine passion for using sustainable practices and local produce
- Have a genuine commitment towards customer experience

Salary

The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $90,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
