Role Overview

Reo Group is partnering with a well-regarded Sydney law practice to recruit a Paralegal or Senior Paralegal for their NSW workers compensation team. You will manage a portfolio of matters, progressing files from initial instruction through to resolution whilst working closely with experienced solicitors.

Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of NSW workers compensation matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Draft correspondence, expert instructions, PIC applications, submissions, statements, and supporting documentation.
- Review medical records, clinical notes, liability material, and expert reports.
- Progress statutory benefit disputes and permanent impairment claims.
- Liaise with clients, treating practitioners, medico-legal experts, and relevant third parties in a professional and considered manner.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients,



providing clear and timely updates throughout the life of each matter.
- Progress files in line with systems, timeframes, and quality standards under solicitor supervision.

Candidate Profile

- Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience in personal injury law with solid NSW workers compensation exposure.
- Demonstrated experience managing workers compensation matters and PIC proceedings.
- Sound working knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and the claims and dispute pathway.
- Robust drafting skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently, prioritise competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
- Client-focused and empathetic, with a professional and considered approach to client communication.
- Proficiency with legal practice management systems and Microsoft Office.
