Tas Vintners is seeking experienced, capable and highly motivated people to join our winery team for Vintage 2027.

At the heart of our operation is a easy ambition: to handle exceptional Tasmanian fruit with precision, care and respect for its provenance.

Our winery brings together fruit from vineyards across Tasmania, encompassing established cool-climate varieties alongside an increasingly diverse collection of sites, varieties and wine styles. Combined with an extensive contract winemaking program, this makes Tas Vintners a distinctive place to experience vintage - one winery, many vineyards, producers and perspectives.

THE VINTAGE Vintage at Tas Vintners is immersive.

From the first sparkling fruit of the season through to the final parcels of late-ripening varieties, our winery operates at considerable scale while retaining a clear focus on the detail that defines fine wine.

Our vintage team works alongside award-winning winemakers and permanent winery staff across the full arc of harvest: fruit receival, pressing and extraction, fermentation, maturation and the careful movement of wine through the cellar.

Depending On Experience, Responsibilities Will Encompass

- Fruit receival, crushing and pressing
- Juice and wine transfers
- Racking, clarification and additions
- Fermentation management
- Red and white wine processing
- Barrel operations
- Filtration and cellar preparation
- Operation of pumps, presses and winery equipment
- Forklift operation for appropriately licensed staff
- Winery hygiene and sanitation




- Accurate completion of cellar records and work orders

THE PEOPLE We are looking for people who understand that good winery operations are built on more than technical ability. Attention to detail matters. So does curiosity, judgement, reliability and the willingness to contribute to the wider team.

We welcome applications from experienced international and Australian vintage cellar hands, winery operators and emerging wine professionals seeking meaningful exposure to premium Tasmanian wine production.

For senior vintage positions, previous commercial winery experience and the confidence to operate equipment, work independently and support less-experienced team members will be important.

For developing cellar hands, previous winery experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong candidates from premium food and beverage production, agriculture and other technically disciplined environments will also be considered.

Above all, we value people who are engaged in their work, respectful of the fruit and wine in their care, and prepared to maintain high standards throughout the intensity of harvest.

Tasmania's extraordinary diversity is revealed during vintage.

Fruit arrives from distinctly different sites and growing environments across the island, giving our team the opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of Tasmanian Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and sparkling-base fruit, together with aromatic whites and alternative varieties.

Our contract winemaking relationships extend that diversity further.

Each vineyard and producer brings its own intent. Our responsibility is to understand it, protect it and translate it faithfully through the winery.

For our vintage team, this provides exposure to an unusually broad range of fruit, winemaking techniques and stylistic approaches - all within one harvest.

VINTAGE 2027 Positions are fixed-term, with commencement expected from February/March 2027 and completion determined by the progression of the season.

Vintage is demanding by nature. Extended hours, shift work and weekends are part of harvest, particularly during peak fruit intake.

In return, you will become part of an experienced and collaborative winery team and gain genuine exposure to the breadth, quality and character of contemporary Tasmanian wine.
