Not all Accounts Payable roles are built around processing invoices
Brisbane | Land of the Turrbal People
This is a role for someone who enjoys getting to the bottom of issues, working directly with stakeholders, and taking ownership of finding a solution when something doesn’t quite add up.
You’ll focus on the invoice, purchase order and contract escalations that require human judgement. Working alongside Porter AI, our automation platform, you’ll investigate issues, engage with vendors and stakeholders, and help ensure payments continue to move accurately and efficiently through the business.
If you’re an experienced AP professional looking to step away from high-volume processing and into a role that is more focused on problem solving, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, this is an opportunity to do exactly that.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in managing and resolving escalations across the Accounts Payable process, including:
- Investigating and resolve purchase orders, invoices and contract discrepancies
- Working with vendors, approvers and contract owners to gather information and resolve outstanding issues
- Managing escalations generated through Porter AI and determining the appropriate action required
- Identifying recurring themes and opportunities to improve processes
- Tracking outcomes and maintaining accurate exception records
- Supporting the AP Team Leader with day-to-day operational priorities.
What You’ll Need
- Previous Accounts Payable or finance operations experience
- Strong problem-solving and investigative capability
- Confidence working with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Experience working within ERP systems,
with Yardi highly regarded
- Ability to work alongside AI-enabled automation and adapting change processes
- A proactive approach and a willingness to take ownership of issues through to resolution
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
So, what’s in it for you?
- Uncapped opportunities to develop your career within the property industry.
- Structured career development to support you and explore your learning potential and career goals.
- Industry leading parental leave.
- A range of educational, financial, lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits and programs, corporate partnerships and discounts, CBRE Cares Foundation, competitive leave offerings and paid volunteer days.
- Qantas flight discounts.
- Annual Flu shots via vouchers and onsite vaccinations.
- Initiatives and annual programs to recognise employees who exemplify excellence nationally and pacific wide.
- Exclusive Corporate Discounts and offerings from our corporate partners
Why Join Us This role offers the prospect to be part of a finance function that is evolving through automation and technology. Rather than focusing on repetitive transaction processing, you’ll be working on the exceptions, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving activities that create real value for the business. It’s a 12-month contract opportunity where you’ll have visibility across multiple stakeholder groups, build on your AP expertise and gain experience working in an AI-enabled operating environment.
