About the role An exciting prospect exists for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team in Dandenong South.

Reporting to the Finance Team Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of accounts payable transactions across our Australian and New Zealand operations. This includes verifying and processing domestic and international supplier invoices, preparing payments, reconciling accounts and ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and within agreed payment terms.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy and can build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

What you’ll do

- Process creditor invoices for Australian and New Zealand suppliers and ensure payments are made accurately and within agreed payment terms
- Match invoices to purchase orders, verify accuracy and obtain the required approvals
- Reconcile creditor and supplier accounts
- Prepare and process electronic and foreign currency payments
- Verify domestic and international supplier bank details
- Manage creditor queries across Australia and New Zealand
- Coordinate staff expense processing and customer refunds
- Support cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
- Create prepayment purchase invoices for overseas suppliers and reconcile the relevant general ledger account
- Onboard new suppliers and maintain accurate supplier information
- Monitor OCR payment processing




- Ensure local invoices meet applicable ATO taxation requirements
- Complete end-of-month reporting and verify figures against the general ledger
- Assist with filing, archiving and other Finance team duties as required.

About you

You are an organised and reliable Accounts Payable professional who can manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. You communicate clearly, approach problems practically and enjoy working collaboratively with others.

You will also have

- At least five years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Experience working with a large or sophisticated ERP system
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong account reconciliation and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods environment, preferably
- Experience using Microsoft Business Central and OCR technology, preferably.
