Join the Brain Injury & Rehabilitation Unit at Westmead Hospital, part of Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). You’ll play an important role in supporting the delivery of specialised patient care, providing a welcoming first point of contact for patients, families, carers and visitors while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the service.

What you'll be doing
As the Administration Officer, you’ll provide efficient, responsive and professional administrative support across inpatient and outpatient services. From managing reception and clinic appointments to maintaining accurate patient records, you’ll help ensure patients receive a seamless and welcoming experience.
Your responsibilities will include
- Delivering a professional reception service,
responding to enquiries and providing assistance to patients, families, visitors and staff.
- Coordinating outpatient clinic appointments, including patient arrivals and departures, appointment scheduling and rescheduling, and maintaining accurate information in iPM.
- Maintaining patient records, managing correspondence and processing documentation in accordance with WSLHD policies and procedures.
- Coordinating room, equipment and motor vehicle bookings, ordering and maintaining supplies, and arranging office equipment repairs when required.
- Providing a broad range of administrative support across inpatient and outpatient services, working collaboratively with colleagues to prioritise competing demands and meet operational deadlines.

Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of operational and administrative tasks as per requirements of the business.
2. Demonstrated organisational skills with proven ability in accuracy, initiative and flexibility.
3. Demonstrated understanding of exceptional customer service skills with an ability to maintain confidentiality.
4. Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate with various levels of personal across the organisation.
5. Ability to work autonomously whilst also actively participating within a multidisciplinary team.
6. Previous experience in a hospital type environment, preferably in a frontline (reception) capacity.
