The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science teacher to join our well-resourced, collaborative team where you will be required to develop, review and deliver Science curriculum.





The successful applicant will promote an environment of active and positive learning as well as provide educational opportunities and activities which enable all students to achieve their highest potential.

They will ideally display the ability to provide purposeful and relevant learning experiences that comply with the requirements of the Western Australian Curriculum for Year 7 to 10 students.

Using research based, high impact teaching strategies they will cater for different student learning needs. By engaging in ongoing self-reflection and assessing the effectiveness of your practice they will create an environment conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities.

It is expected that they can develop a supportive and positive classroom environment, possess effective interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a collaborative team. The capacity to differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of students with a range of achievement levels, language backgrounds and learning difficulties will be highly regarded as will the ability to elicit positive student behaviour using an educative approach.

In this role, we are seeking a person who possesses a commitment to excellence, can use a range of pedagogies, can establish, as well as maintain a positive and engaging classroom learning environment.

An interest and capacity in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) courses in the Science Learning Area (Biology, Psychology, Chemistry) would be well regarded.
