NUM - Broken Hill Hospital - Operating Theatre

Broken Hill Base Hospital & Health Services is seeking an experienced Operating Theatre Nurse to join its theatre team on a three-month contract. Based in Broken Hill, NSW, this role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment, supporting a range of procedures and contributing to a dedicated theatre team. The successful candidate will bring established operating theatre experience and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care in a regional healthcare setting.

Preferred Requirements





- Demonstrated experience working in an operating theatre setting
- Strong knowledge of theatre protocols, aseptic technique, and instrument management
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail in a quick-paced setting
- Flexibility and adaptability to support a range of surgical procedures

Preferred Qualifications

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Formal qualification or recognised training in perioperative nursing practice
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
