About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Management Consultant with a passion for Rural Development to join their team, serving clients in and around Queenstown . This role involves driving economic growth, improving public services, and fostering sustainable development within rural communities. You will analyze socio-economic challenges, design impactful intervention strategies, and collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities. The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility while ensuring crucial on-the-ground engagement with stakeholders in the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies for rural development projects.
- Develop strategic plans for economic diversification, infrastructure development, and service delivery in rural areas.
- Advise local government and community leaders on policy implementation and best practices.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and build consensus among diverse groups.
- Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and report on impact.




- Identify funding opportunities and support grant applications for rural initiatives.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Development Studies, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in rural development, community planning, or related consulting.
- Proven experience in designing and managing development projects in rural settings.
- Strong understanding of socio-economic issues facing rural communities in South Africa .
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel extensively and work effectively in diverse community contexts within the Eastern Cape .
