We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to play a key role in the day-to-day maintenance, technical configuration, and hands‑on operational support of the School's computer infrastructure, hardware endpoints, and network setting. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure core network components, user accounts, and physical hardware are proactively maintained and secured across all school campuses to support teaching, learning, and administrative functions.

This role requires a balance of network/server administration, endpoint fleet management, and responsive user technical support.

This is a full‑time position on campus commencing as soon as possible.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the ICT Manager, you will:

Administer and maintain the School's network switching infrastructure, firewall, wireless access points, and security monitoring tools.

Manage domain/directory services (Active Directory/Entra ID), user accounts, passwords, storage quotas, and security permissions.

Perform and verify daily/weekly/monthly system backups, conduct restore tests, and enforce workstation security/Group Policies (GPO).

Sustain and manage the School's 1:1 hardware fleet (desktops, laptops, iPads, printers, peripherals), including lifecycle management, deployment, electronic inventory, and SOE image creation.

Provide responsive Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to staff and students via the ICT HelpDesk system, including classroom AV and event setups.

Maintain printer fleet, server infrastructure, and auxiliary security hardware (CCTV storage servers, physical access control systems).

Liaise with external contractors for hardware, software,



and cabling support as directed.

ABOUT YOU

You will bring a strong practical background in network administration and desktop support within a multi‑site environment. Specifically, you will have:

Practical knowledge of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs), wireless networking, and firewall concepts.

Working knowledge of server virtualisation (VMware), Windows Server environments, Active Directory/Entra ID, and cloud ecosystems (Google Workspace & M365).

Strong practical experience in computer hardware maintenance, endpoint management, and SOE imaging.

Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and time‑management skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and patiently to staff and students.

A current employee Working with Children Check is essential.
