As we continue to grow, we are seeking a driven Training Manager to help build a new level of capability and apprentice stream to sustain our current demands and our amazing growth strategy. We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Head Office at Ormeau as a Training Manager . In this role you will be responsible for Inducting site employees, work closely with the HR Team and own site training and apprentice coordination across the Plant. You will build the competency matrix, training needs analysis and future talent pipeline.

This is a standalone role with significant scope to make it your own. You will establish the administrative foundations of the function, engage stakeholders across the business and support the Senior Leadership Team to strengthen workplace health and safety, quality and capability.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, we are excited to introduce this recent level of operational effectiveness to the business. You will be backed by a new Senior Leadership Team and a organisation ready to take their business to the next level.

Key priorities for the role include:

- Identify the quick wins, build a roadmap for compliance and capability
- Creating robust action plans to identify training gaps in the business




- Build an apprentice framework to complete existing apprentices and grow new apprentices
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to manage inductions, onboarding, ensure compliance and support apprentices

About You

You are an experienced training, learning and development or operational capability professional who enjoys building structure, engaging people and delivering practical results.

You will ideally bring:

- Demonstrated experience in training, capability, learning and development or operational leadership role
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, food services, logistics or a similar operational environment
- Proven experience managing apprentices and trainees
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Experience developing training needs analyses, competency matrices, SOPs and work instructions
- A practical approach to creating training that works on the floor - not just theoretical training packs
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be advantageous
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety, including safety culture training and audit preparation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Confidence working independently while partnering effectively with operational and senior leaders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to use data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the drive to build something meaningful

Experience in meat or perishables is advantageous but not essential. We will provide the industry knowledge and support you need to succeed.
