If you crave deeper connections, meaningful collaboration and a supportive team around you, Kids First Children's Services in Sydney's sunny Northern Beaches could be your perfect match.

Since 2007, we've helped over 40,000 children. Our psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and specialist early intervention teachers work together onsite every day, under one roof in Brookvale.

Here’s what sets Kids First apart

- Escape the urgency: Trade the constant "put out fires" feeling for a steady caseload, where you see children regularly and get to know their families well.

- Ditch the isolation: Walk down the hall to talk through a tricky case with a speech pathologist, OT or fellow psychologist.

- Keep growing: Build your confidence and skills with regular mentoring and clinical support from experienced colleagues.

- Leave work at work: Admin time for each and every client is built into your daily schedule, so you're not taking work home.

- Person first, practitioner second: We're committed to helping work match life. Choose part time (3-4 days)

or full time with our popular Early Finish Friday.

What your week will look like

You'll:

- Deliver evidence-based counselling and psychological supports to children, adolescents and their families

- Support parents and carers so that your therapeutic work carries through into everyday life

- Work closely with the rest of each child's team to deliver the best outcomes

- Contribute to fortnightly case conferences, where you'll learn from your colleagues and they'll learn from you

- Join our fortnightly Psych Hub, where our psychology team comes together for shared learning and professional development

- Benefit from the kind of regular clinical support and mentoring that comes from working within a genuinely collaborative team

If you're with us full time and keen to conduct assessments, there's opportunity here. And if you're accredited to deliver programs like the Cool Kids Anxiety Program and enjoy working with groups of children and young teens, we'd love to hear about that too.

About you

- You have around three years' experience as a psychologist working with children and adolescents

- You're a confident communicator who enjoys building connections with kids and their families

- You like working as part of a team and value input from other disciplines

- You're open to learning from others and sharing what you know

- Experience or interest in school-based settings is a plus

What you'll find here

- The security of salaried employment with an above-award salary, paid leave and super

- We recognise and reward the contribution you make. Full-time employees are eligible for quarterly bonuses, starting at $1,000, linked to our Clinical Excellence Indicators.

- Referrals from our onsite team and an established local network of doctors, schools and allied health professionals

- A generous annual PD budget

- Purpose-built consulting rooms and excellent clinical resources

- A client care team that handles enquiries, bookings and invoicing so none of it lands on your to-do list

- Daily admin time built in - because your notes and reports should stay at work, not follow you home

- For full-timers, Early Finish Friday means everyone starts their weekend at 12 noon

(This role is also available part time, with a minimum of three days per week.)

What matters to us

Our core values are Care, Kindness, Compassion and Making a Contribution. They're not words on a poster. We're proud of the difference we've made, and continue to make, in so many lives.

We invite you to watch the short video below for a glimpse into our team and what it's like to work at Kids First.
