Primary Objective: Support the Forestry Group to plan, coordinate and deliver research, development and extension activities, with a primary focus on the externally funded ‘Tiwi Community Forestry Pilot’. The position will undertake and coordinate field-based forestry research, contribute to the development of research methodologies, collect and analyse project data, and prepare technical and project reports. The role will also support other externally funded forestry projects and associated reporting and operational activities as required. Please note,
this position is not a consistent 0.3 FTE occurring weekly but equals 0.3 FTE over the course of the year comprised of approximately 10 weeks of field work activity on the Tiwi Islands during the dry season (May-October) and occasional days in the office in Darwin to support project reporting. Casual employment is based on a rate of $62.40 per hour.
