EMBR Group
Doncaster
EMBR Group is a Melbourne-based performance marketing and lead generation company specialising in high-volume customer acquisition.
For more than a decade, we’ve built, scaled and optimised digital acquisition campaigns across some of Australia's most competitive consumer markets, including:
- Property investment
- Home loans and finance
- Car finance
- Insurance
- Financial services
- Consumer comparison and enquiry campaigns
We work with businesses ranging from ambitious SMEs through to major Australian brands. Our business is built around one thing:
Generating qualified customer enquiries at scale.
We combine paid media, technology, data, landing pages, creative and relentless optimisation to make that happen.
And we're looking for an experienced performance marketer to help us take it further.
THE ROLE
This isn't a role where you'll spend your week preparing marketing calendars, posting organic social content or discussing brand awareness. You'll be buying media.
You'll be responsible for deploying significant advertising budgets with clear commercial objectives around:
CPL. Volume. Lead quality. Conversion. Scale.
You'll predominantly work across platforms including:
- Meta Ads
- Google Ads
- YouTube
- TikTok
- Native advertising and emerging acquisition channels
You'll inherit proven campaigns, established infrastructure and meaningful advertising budgets — while also being given the freedom to test new ideas, campaigns, funnels, creative and channels. Some campaigns may need 50 leads a day. Others may need 500.
Your job is to work out how to get there profitably.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING
You'll be responsible for the performance of a portfolio of paid acquisition campaigns, including:
- Building, managing and scaling paid media campaigns
- Managing substantial daily and monthly advertising budgets
- Working toward defined Cost Per Lead and acquisition targets
- Analysing campaign performance and identifying opportunities to scale
- Developing new audiences, offers, hooks and campaign angles
- Briefing designers and creative resources
- Reporting to senior management and building out meaningful and actionable reports
- Writing and developing advertising concepts and call-outs
- Developing UGC briefs and scripts
- Coordinating with creators, designers, developers and external partners
- Testing landing pages, funnels and conversion journeys
- Identifying creative fatigue before performance declines
- Launching structured creative and audience testing
- Tracking performance across the entire acquisition funnel
- Finding new channels and opportunities for profitable customer acquisition
You won't be expected to personally design every ad, edit every video or build every landing page. You'll have resources around you.
Your job is to know what needs to be created, tested, changed or scaled — and drive it forward.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who has already done this at meaningful scale. You should have demonstrated experience managing paid advertising campaigns where commercial performance mattered.
Ideally advanced Meta and Google Ad knowledge.
Ideally, you've managed campaigns with substantial monthly spend and understand what happens when budgets move from $500/day to $10,000/day — and beyond.
You understand that an ad generating cheap clicks isn't necessarily a good ad.
You think about
CPL → Lead Quality → Conversion → Revenue → Scale rather than vanity metrics.
You'll probably be someone who:
- Has strong hands-on Meta Ads experience
- Has experience with Google Ads and/or YouTube
- Understands direct-response advertising
- Understands lead generation funnels
- Is highly analytical but also understands creative
- Can recognise a strong hook almost immediately
- Loves testing
- Is commercially minded
- Makes decisions based on data
- Moves quickly
- Takes ownership of results
- Gets frustrated when campaigns aren't performing — and immediately wants to know why
Experience in finance, property, insurance or other high-value lead generation categories would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
THIS ROLE IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF...
Your background is predominantly:
- SEO
- Organic social media
- Content marketing
- Brand marketing
- Communications
- Generalist marketing
Those are valuable disciplines — they're just not what we're hiring for. We specifically want someone with demonstrated paid acquisition experience.
WHY EMBR?
Serious budgets
You'll have meaningful advertising budgets to work with. When something works, we want to scale it.
High testing velocity
New ads. New hooks.
New landing pages.
New funnels.
New audiences.
New channels.
We want someone who enjoys experimentation rather than maintaining the same campaigns indefinitely.
Resources around you
You'll have access to designers, developers, UGC creators, copy resources, technology and external specialists to help execute your ideas.
Direct access to decision makers
We're a small, entrepreneurial team. There aren't six layers of management between identifying an opportunity and actually testing it.
If you've got a positive idea, we can move on it today.
Performance matters more than politics
We're interested in what works. Great ideas can come from anywhere and we're happy to challenge assumptions, kill campaigns that aren't working and aggressively scale the ones that are.
ABOUT EMBR
EMBR Group has been operating for more than 12 years and has generated customer enquiries at significant scale across Australia. We've spent millions of dollars across digital advertising platforms and built proprietary campaigns, brands, funnels, technology and datasets around customer acquisition.
We operate differently from a traditional marketing agency.
Performance marketing is the core of our business — not a department within it.
If you're an experienced media buyer who loves direct response, lead generation, experimentation and scaling campaigns, we'd love to hear from you.
HOW TO APPLY
Please send us your CV along with a short introduction covering: 1. What's the largest monthly advertising budget you've personally managed?
2. Which advertising platforms are you strongest on?
3. Tell us about one campaign you've scaled successfully. What was the objective, what did you change, and what happened?
4. What metrics do you look at when deciding whether to scale or kill a lead generation campaign?
We care much more about what you've actually done than how polished your cover letter is.
