Join the Patient Flow Program at Princess Alexandra Hospital as an After Hours Nurse Manager, providing advanced clinical and operational leadership to support the safe, efficient and timely movement of patients across the hospital. Working collaboratively with senior nursing and multidisciplinary teams, you will help optimise patient outcomes, workforce resources and service delivery.

In This Role, You Will

- Provide advanced nursing leadership and decision-making, supporting operational management and patient flow across the hospital.
- Coordinate and optimise workforce, resources and patient flow processes, using data, KPIs and contemporary practice to support effective service delivery.
- Lead quality improvement, clinical governance, education and service change, promoting evidence-based practice and a positive practice environment.

About You You are an experienced Registered Nurse and accomplished nursing leader who can confidently operate in a complex healthcare environment. You will bring advanced clinical and skilled knowledge, strong analytical and planning skills, and the ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence across all levels of the organisation.

You Will Bring

- Advanced nursing and patient flow expertise, with robust clinical judgement and autonomous decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, rostering and resource management, including use of IWFM and Microsoft Office applications.




- Strong leadership, communication and change management skills, with a commitment to quality improvement, evidence-based practice and positive patient outcomes.

Princess Alexandra Hospital The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.



We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
