Primary objective The AI Service Designer consults with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement contemporary AI and AI agent solutions, focused on process mapping, understanding problems and challenges and designing AI solutions to address the needs.

Context statement

Digital Experience work with client agencies to deliver innovative solutions that improve the quality and efficiency of government services to provide and enhance customer experience for citizens and business transacting with government. The work workplace is agile,

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Engage with clients to analyse business requirements and identify opportunities to implement and enhance business processes

and systems using AI platforms, agents and related solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of services.
1. Manage the design, development and maintenance of reusable, contemporary AI tools and improvements to support an

enhanced customer experience, often working with other digital solution teams outside the work area.
1. Provide advice and investigate complex business processes to inform solutions in line with NTG policies and frameworks.
2. Collaborate with application developers and service providers to ensure AI solutions meet requirements.
3. Negotiate, communicate and manage change activities with users and key stakeholders.
4. Manage and deliver training and support to staff and stakeholders in the implementation of new digital solutions.
5. Undertake testing activities, including preparing and executing test plans and conducting User Acceptance Testing.
6. Contribute to the delivery of the AI Advisory service, undertaking administrative and related duties as required.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Well-developed oral and written communication skills,



ability to communicate technical and complex issues in plain language,

providing accurate information, advice and analysis to a variety of audiences.
1. Demonstrated experience or knowledge of public sector administration, governance and legislation. Well-developed

organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple work packages, tasks and conflicting deadlines.
1. Knowledge of business and systems analysis and requirements elicitation, including development of business requirements.
2. Demonstrated ability to think laterally identifying and applying innovative solutions and improved work practices.
3. Experience working in Microsoft, Azure, Foundry or GitHub environments, or the ability to quickly learn these platforms.
4. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful and

innovative and the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.

Desirable

1. Knowledge of NT Government managed solutions and systems.
2. Certificate or tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, Information Technology or a relevant field.
