We are looking for a reliable, organised and customer-focused Booking Officer to join our team and coordinate interpreter bookings efficiently and professionally.

About the Role

As a Booking Officer, you will be responsible for managing interpreter bookings from initial request through to completion. You will liaise with clients, interpreters and internal staff to ensure the right interpreter is allocated at the right time and location.

Key responsibilities include:

- Receive and process interpreter booking requests by phone, email and other communication channels.
- Coordinate and allocate interpreters according to language, availability, location and client requirements.
- Confirm bookings and communicate relevant details to clients and interpreters.
- Monitor upcoming bookings and promptly manage cancellations, changes and replacements.
- Maintain accurate booking records and update internal systems.
- Follow up outstanding bookings and ensure services are properly confirmed.
- Respond to client and interpreter enquiries in a timely and qualified manner.
- Resolve booking issues and escalate complex matters when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with the operations and administration team.
- Provide general administrative support as required.

About You

We are seeking someone who is highly organised,



calm under pressure and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.

The successful candidate will have:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Confidence communicating with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn booking and scheduling systems quickly.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to solving problems.
- Previous experience in bookings, scheduling, customer service, administration, interpreting services or a similar role is highly desirable.

Pay: $53,126.00 – $53,293.00 per year
