Assistant Dog Care Worker – Casual | Barc for Pets, Northern Beaches For ten years, Barc for Pets has cared for the dogs of Northern Beaches families as though they were our own. We're a relationship-based, award-winning dog care business — not a facility. Our dogs spend their days outdoors, on adventure walks and in homes, with people who know them as individuals: their energy, their routines, their quirks and what makes them happy.

We don't operate from a fixed location. Our daycare and dog walking run at outdoor locations across the Northern Beaches, so each day starts with coordinating meet-up spots with our team. We're looking for an Assistant Dog Care Worker to support our full-time team in this.

What you'll be doing

- Supporting our outdoor daycare and dog walking schedule at locations across the Northern Beaches, usually in 2–3 hour shifts
- Coordinating daily with the team on meet-up spots, pick-ups and drop-offs
- Helping manage each dog's energy, time and space, with enrichment matched to the right dogs
- Keeping to each dog's diet, medication and sleep routine
- Ideally, overnight care — either hosting daycare dogs in your family home, or staying in a client's home to care for their dog there

What you'll need




- A current driver's licence and your own reliable car
- Clear, reliable communication and professional phone etiquette — you'll be in regular contact with our team and, at times, our clients
- Genuine flexibility across days, times, locations and types of care
- A calm, reliable presence and real love for dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes
- A willingness to learn — you'll be mentored in ethical, positive reinforcement handling, so experience is welcome but your attitude matters most
