About the role

We're looking for a motivated, reliable person to join our team installing smoke detection and fire alarm systems across residential, commercial and industrial sites. You'll start with us on a casual basis, working alongside our experienced installers to learn the trade, get a feel for the work, and see if it's the right fit for both you and us. Provided things are going well, we'll then support you into a formal apprenticeship starting in the new year (2027), giving you a genuine, structured pathway to becoming a qualified fire protection technician.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with the installation of smoke detectors, alarms and associated cabling

- Learning to read plans and follow install specifications

- Running and terminating cabling, mounting detectors and panels

- Handling and preparing materials, tools and equipment

- Working safely as part of a small team





- Picking up the practical skills that'll set you up for your apprenticeship

About you

- A solid work ethic and willingness to learn

- Reliable, punctual, and a good attitude on site

- Comfortable with physical work, ladders and being on your feet
- A valid manual driver's licence (must be manual)

- White Card - No experience necessary – attitude matters more than tickets
