The Position

Assist in the development and maintenance of Memorial Park, landscapes, and gardens within the AlburyCity Cemeteries and Crematorium (including Glenmorus Memorial Gardens and Crematorium). This role will involve daily exposure to funerals, grief, and bereavement, with cremations and burials being central to the operations. Candidates for this position must demonstrate emotional maturity in dealing with death and end-of-life situations and be comfortable working in this professional environment.

Tasks and responsibilities

Under direction, assist in the following:

- Assist in the maintenance of the cemeteries and crematorium grounds.
- Assist in the construction of landscapes in the cemetery and crematorium grounds.
- Provide advice to the public and visitors in a polite and effective manner.
- Use all plant and equipment in a protected and competent manner.
- Ensure all routine maintenance to plant and equipment used is carried out.

Qualifications and experience

- Minimum completion of Year 10 or equivalent
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Learner Licence, Provisional Licence or Class C (standard) Driver’s Licence (compulsory to maintain.

Hours Based on a 38 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm,



with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity’s RDO guidelines. These times may vary due to operational requirements and will be determined by the supervisor.
