Talent International is currently recruiting for an APS6 Project Officer to work for one of our Federal Government clients at Newcastle. The position is a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension. The role pays $60.26 per hour + Super.

7.6 hours per day and 38 hours per week

About the role

You will:

- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and governance documents.
- Coordinate project reporting, including progress updates, performance measures, risks and issues.
- Analyse data from multiple sources and turn findings into explicit reports, dashboards and recommendations.
- Prepare business cases, executive briefs, presentations and other written materials.
- Monitor budgets and support procurement and contract management activities.
- Check data quality and ensure project deliverables meet business requirements.

About you





You will bring experience in a project, program, operational or reporting environment, along with strong analytical and written communication skills. You should be confident using advanced Microsoft Excel to develop reports, spreadsheets and performance measures.

Experience with data visualisation or business intelligence tools is desirable. Government or public sector experience is highly regarded.
