MainStream Aquaculture Queensland is a rapidly growing aquaculture business. We produce premium and sustainably farmed Barramundi (Lates calcarifer) in Far North Queensland. Our products are sold across Australia and internationally.

Our growth means we are recruiting at all levels. We have opportunities across our Far North QLD farms, including Port Douglas, Martyville and our Nursery operations.

Responsibilities (vary by role and site) may include:

- Routine water, environmental and fish health testing.
- Feeding and maintaining healthy fish stocks.
- Executing daily production and maintenance plans.
- Fish transfers, grading, vaccinations and harvesting.
- Pond and RAS system monitoring.
- Operating and maintaining farm plant and equipment.
- Maintaining accurate data, records and reports.
- Supervising,



training and mentoring team members (senior and management roles).
- Planning production and managing site performance (management roles).
- Working in line with our SOPs, Food Safety, WHS and quality assurance systems.

Professional Requirements:

- Strong team orientation.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Strong personal accountability and responsibility.
- A passion for the aquaculture industry.
- Flexibility to work varied tasks and rosters. Some roles include weekend, public holiday and on-call work.
- Australian resident or a valid visa with work rights in Australia.

Desirable:

- Experience in aquaculture ideally barramundi or marine finfish.
- Leadership or supervisory experience (senior and management roles).
- Tertiary qualifications in aquaculture, marine biology or similar. Not essential for entry level roles. Training is provided.
- Current C class manual licence and reliable vehicle.
- Forklift and/or HR truck licence.
- Experience operating farm machinery.
- Reside in or willing to relocate to Far North QLD.
