About The Role The South Australian Government has an ambition for every child and young person to be healthy, active and able to participate in their community.

Through the Kids Off Screens initiative, the government is investing in practical alternatives to screen use that promote physical activity, social connection and healthy routines. This includes improving community access to school facilities and supporting children and young people to participate in sport, recreation and community activities.

The Project Officer, Community Partnerships contributes to the planning, coordination and delivery of priority projects aligned with the government’s Kids Off Screens commitments. Working across significant programs of work, the role provides high-level project and operational support to the Community Partnerships function and helps ensure initiatives are delivered effectively and within required timeframes.

The Project Officer coordinates a range of administrative and project activities, stakeholder engagement, correspondence and scheduling, and provides informed advice on processes, compliance, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Essential: Nil

Desirable:



Administrative or secretarial experience

Knowledge of the South Australian education system and relevant government, grants and community engagement processes.

Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

ASO5 $92,122 - $102,456 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
