We are seeking an Architect who enjoys being involved – in the design, in the documentation, with the client and ultimately in seeing a project built.

The opportunity

This is not intended to be a narrowly defined production role.

As part of a smaller practice, you will have the opportunity to be involved across the full delivery of projects – establishing the brief, developing the design, coordinating consultants, preparing documentation and remaining involved through procurement and construction.

You will work directly with the Director and our architectural team, while also developing your own relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.





We are looking for someone capable of accepting responsibility for their work and projects, but this does not mean working without support. Responsibility will grow with experience and capability, with the Director and broader team remaining actively involved and providing support and mentoring as your role develops.

Your work is likely to include:

- architectural design and design development
- preparation and coordination of documentation in Revit
- consultant coordination and resolution of technical matters
- direct communication with clients and project stakeholders
- preparation of approvals, tender and construction documentation
- involvement in tendering and procurement
- construction-phase services, including site inspections, RFIs and contract administration
- assisting graduates and technical staff as your role develops
- contributing to the systems, standards and ongoing development of the practice.

What we are looking for

You will be registered as an Architect in Queensland, or able to obtain Queensland registration through mutual recognition, with a minimum of two years' experience following registration .

More important than fitting a particular mould, we are looking for someone with a sound architectural foundation who wants to continue developing professionally.

You should bring:

- good architectural design and documentation skills
- strong working knowledge of Revit




- practical understanding of construction and detailing
- familiarity with Australian codes, standards and approval processes
- confidence communicating with clients, consultants and contractors
- an organised approach to managing projects and deliverables
- good written and verbal communication
- an ability to work independently while remaining comfortable seeking input when required.

Experience in health, education, commercial or government projects would be well regarded, although we are equally interested in relevant experience gained in other sectors.
