About the job

Take your safety career to the next level with a leading Australian regional manufacturer in heavy equipment and engineering. Based in Inverell, NSW, with occasional travel across regional facilities, this hands‑on role partners closely with operational teams to drive a proactive safety culture from the workshop floor up.

You will provide practical guidance, champion incident prevention, and coordinate end-to-end injury management programs to ensure everyone returns home safely every day.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct workshop safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims, suitable duties, and return-to-work plans
- Assist in reviewing SOPs, SWMS, and safety compliance documentation
- Deliver engaging toolbox talks, inductions, and targeted safety coaching




- Monitor safety performance metrics to drive continuous operational improvements

What you will bring

- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent qualification
- Proven WHS experience within manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industrial environments
- Practical experience in return-to-work coordination and claims management
- Working knowledge of current NSW WHS legislation and compliance standards
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a valid, unrestricted driver's licence

A competitive salary package of $90,000 to $115,000 (dependent on experience) is on offer for the successful candidate, along with the chance to make a tangible impact within a supportive, growth-focused business.
