Yamaha Motor Australia is seeking an experienced and people focused HR Business Partner to join the HR Division based in NSW, reporting to Divisional Manager- HR. This is a hands on, operational role with scope to contribute strategically, supporting leaders across the organisation and driving key WHS, DEI and culture initiatives. As a trusted first point of contact for managers, you will coach and influence leaders, manage complex people matters, and lead core WHS and Return to Work activities. You will also play a central role in implementing an ISO45001 certified WHS Management System and coordinating the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Group.

Key responsibilities

- Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing practical guidance on a range of ER/IR matters including grievances, investigations, performance, and discipline.
- Manage complex and sensitive people matters with professionalism and procedural fairness.
- Lead WHS activities including incident reviews, analysis, Return to Work coordination, site inspections and acting as the WHS Committee secretary.
- Review of the Work Health and Safety function and implementation of an ISO45001 certified WHS Management System for Australia and New Zealand.
- Identify psychosocial hazards and coordinate initiatives to improve psychological safety.
- Lead and coordinate DEI Group activities and support development of a DEI program.
- Partner with managers to improve workforce capability,



team effectiveness and organisational performance in collaboration with HR and senior leaders.
- Support employee engagement initiatives aligned with Yamaha Motor's values and global HR direction.
- Contribute to HR projects, policy development, continuous improvement and workforce analytics.

About you

- 3–5 years' experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist.
- Strong capability in employee relations, performance management, investigations, culture, WHS and DEI.
- Experience leading WHS activities and formal Return to Work programs.
- Experience with ISO45001 WHS Management Systems (regarded).
- Excellent coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance business priorities with a values driven, employee focused approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer service mindset.
- Ability to manage confidential information and juggle multiple priorities.
