Mackay Hospital and Health Service invites applications for a temporary Clinical Nurse/Midwife (Birth Centre) within the Women’s Health Unit at Mackay Base Hospital. The role provides advanced nursing/midwifery care, coordinates patient management, and supports a continuity midwifery model for low-risk pregnancies.

The Birth Centre aims to deliver 24-hour continuity of care, with a known midwife managing antenatal through post-partum care, based on 1.0 FTE caseload.
