1) Assistant Manager

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operations and growth of James An College Mernda. This is a key leadership role covering teaching and academic quality, administration, staff supervision, student enrolments, parent engagement, marketing, advertising and business development.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the Centre.

- Supervise and support teaching and administrative staff.

- Monitor teaching quality, student progress and classroom standards.

- Manage student enquiries, enrolments, retention and parent communication.

- Manage local marketing, advertising, social media and promotional activities.

- Drive business development initiatives to increase enrolments and Centre growth.

- Build positive relationships with students, parents, schools and the local community.

- Manage staff rosters, meetings, administration and operational requirements.

- Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, confidentiality and compliance.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Is proactive, organised, responsible and results-focused.

- Has strong leadership, communication and people-management skills.

- Has experience in education, administration, customer service, marketing or business development.

- Is confident engaging with students, parents, staff and the local community.





- Can take ownership of Centre operations and help drive enrolments and business growth.

- School teaching experience and teacher registration will be highly regarded.

- Holds or is eligible to obtain a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).

2) Skilled Tutors – Primary & Secondary

We are also seeking skilled, experienced, enthusiastic and committed Tutors/Teachers to join our growing team. We are looking for educators who can deliver engaging, high-quality lessons and support students to achieve their academic potential in a positive and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and effective lessons using the James An College curriculum and resources.

- Teach and support students across relevant year levels and subjects.

- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

- Maintain a positive, disciplined and supportive classroom workplace.

- Communicate professionally with students, parents and Centre management.

- Complete marking and other teaching-related responsibilities as required.

About You

- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is highly desirable.

- Teaching experience in Australian schools and/or current teacher registration will be highly regarded.

- Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.

- Confident classroom management and ability to engage and motivate students.

- Reliable, professional and committed to achieving positive student outcomes.

- Qualified teachers, experienced tutors and pre-service teachers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or eligibility to obtain one.
