Support and Grow a Venue Locals Love
AC Hotel Gold Coast is seeking an enthusiastic, guest-focused, and driven Assistant Venue Manager to help lead one of the city's most exciting food and beverage destinations.
Working closely with the Venue Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, supporting daily operations, developing the team, and driving the venue's success. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging hospitality leader looking to take the next step in their career while gaining exposure to commercially focused venue management.

What You'll Do
Deliver Exceptional Guest Experiences
- Support the Venue Manager in creating a guest-first culture where service consistently exceeds expectations.
- Lead by example on the floor, building genuine connections with guests and associates.
- Assist with service recovery and ensure guest concerns are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Create memorable experiences that encourage repeat visitation and positive word-of-mouth.
Support and Develop Great People
- Coach, motivate, and support a team of hospitality professionals.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development initiatives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture built on trust, respect, and collaboration.
- Support performance management conversations and provide constructive feedback.
- Recognise and celebrate team successes and achievements.
Drive Operational Excellence
- Support the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained.
- Assist with scheduling, labour management, stock control, and ordering processes.
- Ensure Marriott brand standards, policies, and compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety throughout the venue.
- Support the Venue Manager in achieving financial and operational objectives.
Contribute to Venue Success
- Assist in executing promotions, activations, and special events.
- Help build engagement with local guests and support initiatives that drive patronage and loyalty.
- Stay informed on industry trends and guest preferences.
- Collaborate with the Marketing, Events, and Commercial teams to support venue growth and awareness.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and improve operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- A passionate hospitality skilled with a genuine love for food, beverage, and guest experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within restaurants, bars, hotels, or hospitality venues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
- A positive, hands-on leadership style and willingness to support where needed.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest service.
- Understanding of labour management, food safety, workplace health and safety, and operational standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Food & Beverage, Hospitality Operations, or a related field,
including supervisory responsibilities; and a High School Diploma or equivalent
OR
- Minimum of 2 years' leadership experience in hospitality operations and/or a tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Food Service Management, or a related discipline.
