We’re expanding – and we’re looking for two Speech Pathologists to grow with us.

Northern Star Supports is growing. With a larger new clinic in Kurri Kurri and continued demand for our services, we’re expanding our Speech Pathology team.

We have two full-time positions available – one for a new graduate and one for an experienced Speech Pathologist.

What We Offer

- $90,000–$110,000 + super , depending on experience

- 5 weeks annual leave – 2 weeks directed + 3 weeks flexible

New Graduate Speech Pathologist

Starting your first Speech Pathology role is a big step, and we don’t expect you to know everything on day one.

As a new graduate, you’ll receive weekly 1:1 clinical supervision , with ongoing access to experienced Senior Speech Pathologists for guidance, mentoring and case discussion throughout your week.

You’ll have a structured onboarding program, gradual caseload build and opportunities to observe and work alongside experienced clinicians . You won’t be expected to step straight into a full caseload.

For your first six months, you’ll work primarily from our Kurri Kurri clinic. This gives you regular access to your team and clinical support while you develop your confidence and skills before transitioning into a combination of clinic and community-based work.

We want you to have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss cases and continue learning as you develop into a confident clinician.

Experienced Speech Pathologist

You’ll have the prospect to bring your existing skills and clinical judgement to your role while continuing to have access to supervision, experienced Senior Speech Pathologists and a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll have protected administration time , access to work vehicles for community appointments and the opportunity to continue developing professionally as Northern Star Supports grows.

About the Role

You’ll work primarily with children and young people , providing assessment and intervention based on individual goals and functional needs.

Your work may include:

- Speech and language assessment and intervention

- Early intervention

- Play-based therapy

- School readiness and school-aged supports

- Communication and social communication

- Collaborative goal setting with families

- Working alongside families, schools and other professionals

- Reports, planning and multidisciplinary collaboration

About You

We’re looking for Speech Pathologists who:

- Hold a Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology

- Are eligible for relevant professional membership

- Have an interest in working with children and young people

- Value family-centred and strengths-based practice

- Communicate well with children, families and colleagues

- Enjoy working collaboratively

- Want to continue developing professionally
