The Classroom Support Assistant works with teachers to support students with diverse learning needs, helping them access and participate in learning and school activities while developing academic, social and independent learning skills.

Salary Range: $75,935 full-time equivalent plus superannuation
Employment Status: Part-time | 14 hours per fortnight
Eligibility : Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

About the Role

The Classroom Support Assistant is a member of the classroom support team that plays a key role in supporting classroom teachers to ensure that all students with diverse learning needs can access and participate in the curriculum and activities to achieve the academic goals and social skills required for independent learning and confident participation.

Qualifications and Eligibility

- Certificate III in School-based Education Support or be undertaking an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) university program of study or experience as Classroom and Learning Support Assistant
- NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Sound knowledge of Hazardous chemicals as per the Work, Health and Safety Regulations 2017 (NSW) and Animals in Schools as per the Animal Research Act 1985 (NSW)
- Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
