Job Description
Summary:
As a Sales Executive, your primary responsibility will be to follow up new business opportunities, nurture client relationships and meet sales targets. This is a entry-level role, perfect for someone from the hospitality, retail, call centre or service sectors who’s ready to transition into a business environment. You’ll play an important role in ensuring that sales operations run smoothly, client interactions are seamless, and daily tasks are completed efficiently. The role will also involve supporting more seasoned sales professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and convert new leads through various channels, mainly via automated lead generation
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
- Meet quarterly sales quotas, consistently striving for revenue growth and contributing to the company’s overall success
- Help prepare proposals, presentations, and reports
- Track and update sales activities, timelines, and deliverables
- Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to address their challenges
- Support in administering the Duress product trial process with customers
- Take an interest in industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies
- Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales strategies with company objectives
- Organise files, contracts, and sales materials and identify opportunities to streamline day-to-day workflows
About You:
- An ability or initial understanding on how to build a pipeline of leads and convert them into successful sales.
- Confident communicator with a professional, but approachable style and good presentation skills.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, reliable and eager to take initiative with eagerness to learn, grow and take on new challenges.
- Previous experience in a customer facing role, with an initial understanding of technology products/services, given that we sell software and hardware.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using or willing to learn digital tools like scheduling platforms & CRMs (we use Hub Spot), AI tools, email, etc.
- Adaptability and willingness to thrive in a fast‑moving, growing company.
** Optional: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

About the role :
This Sales Executive role sits within the Access ERP division and is primarily focused on the Unleashed Software Inventory Management Solution – offering lots of opportunities for cross‑selling other products, both inside and outside of ERP. The sales team spend time consulting with SME’s across a variety of industries, from breweries to medical device manufacturers. We are a dynamic team of individuals, working very much as a team, always open to change, learning from, and supporting each other.
About You
You enjoy owning the full sales journey and seeing the impact of your work from first conversation through to close. You’re naturally curious about how product‑based businesses run and like digging into real operational challenges before suggesting a solution. You’re comfortable working remotely, managing your own day,
and you take pride in running a tidy pipeline. At Access, you’ll have the support, coaching and inbound demand to do your best work, while still having the freedom to build your own momentum.
Day‑to‑day, you will be:
- Manage a mix of inbound and self‑sourced opportunities, taking each one through a clear and structured sales process.
- Run thoughtful discovery calls and product demos that link Unleashed’s inventory management software to real business problems.
- Build relationships with founders, finance leads and operations teams, making sure you understand how decisions are made.
- Own your deals through to close, keeping Salesforce up to date and handing over smoothly to onboarding and customer success.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
- Experience in full‑cycle B2B sales, including prospecting, discovery, demos and commercial conversations.
- Experience selling software to small or medium‑sized businesses, particularly in manufacturing, wholesale or distribution.
- Familiarity with structured sales approaches, such as MEDDPICC or SPIN, to qualify and progress opportunities.
- Confidence talking about technology ecosystems, including accounting software, e‑commerce platforms or integrations.
- Prefer candidates from Melbourne, Australia.
