Job Description

- Assisting licensed tradespersons - support electricians/technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks
- Cable installation - pull, lay, terminate, and secure electrical or data cabling under supervision
- Equipment setup - prepare tools, materials, ladders, testing devices, and work areas
- Site preparation - assist with drilling, mounting, fixing brackets, conduits, trays, and enclosures
- Testing assistance - support licensed tradespersons with basic continuity tests, tagging, and safety checks
- Fault-finding support - help identify issues by preparing equipment, documenting faults, and following instructions
- Telecommunications support - assist with NBN, fibre, copper, wireless, and structured cabling installations
- Material handling - load/unload materials, organise stock, and maintain tool inventory




- Safety compliance - follow WHS procedures, PPE requirements, lock-out/tag-out instructions, and site safety rules
- Documentation - complete basic job sheets, material logs, and installation records
- General labouring - cleaning work areas, removing debris, and supporting tradespersons as required

About The Candidate

- Minimum 1-2 years' experience assisting electricians or telecommunications technicians
- Basic understanding of electrical or data cabling systems
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- White Card (mandatory)
- EWP, Working at Heights, or First Aid (advantageous)
- Strong physical fitness and ability to work in varied environments
- Good communication and teamwork skills
