Role Description

The Senior Receptionist is a full-time or near full-time on-site role based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. This role oversees the front desk and reception area, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all patients and visitors. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing patient bookings, answering phone and email inquiries, coordinating appointment schedules, and supporting the flow of patients through the IV clinic and consulting rooms. The Senior Receptionist will co-supervise reception processes, maintain patient records, handle payments, and liaise with clinicians to manage daily clinic operations.



The role also involves monitoring reception workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting a calm, professional, and compassionate workplace.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with a focus on creating efficiency in processes.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with patients, clinicians, and external partners.
- Proficiency in receptionist duties, such as managing phone systems, appointment scheduling, and patient check-in and check-out.
- Solid organization skills, including attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinic setting.
- Previous experience in a medical reception is essential.
- Comfort with practice management software, including Best Practice, and general computer literacy.
- Ability to lead by example, support colleagues, and contribute to a collaborative and respectful workplace culture.
- Relevant certification or training in medical reception, business administration, or a related field is an advantage.
