About the role

We are looking for an Automation & Testing Technician to support control systems and automated testing at our R&D; facility in Clayton, Victoria. This is a full-time, on-site role reporting to Alicia Li.

You will help keep test equipment configured, maintained and ready for use, combining practical hardware and software troubleshooting with programming, automation and image analysis.

What you will do

- Install and configure hardware and software for control systems and automated test equipment.
- Set up and operate control systems and automated test units.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep explicit records.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and repair or replace components within your assigned scope.




- Calibrate instruments to support accurate outputs.
- Apply programming, automation and image-analysis skills to support testing activities.
- Document configuration, maintenance and calibration work, and communicate unresolved issues to the team.

What you will bring

- Experience with programming, automation and image analysis. Relevant academic or project experience is welcome, including from recent graduates.
- Practical hardware and software troubleshooting skills and attention to accuracy.
- Clear communication, a cooperative approach and the ability to follow procedures and document your work.

Development in the role You will build familiarity with our systems and test equipment. Your responsibilities can grow in complexity as you complete training and demonstrate capability.
