Role Review:

As an AVP, Solution Architecture, you will be responsible for leading the evolution of the product to meet changing business requirements and regional specific requisites. This will involve the support of the sales team in qualifying market fit and providing guidance during presales engagements. Additional you will be a key participant and authority assisting with the design and delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade solutions on the Odessa Platform for clients in equipment leasing, lending, and asset finance.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, translating complex business needs into robust solution architectures that align with Odessa’s product capabilities, implementation methodology, and long-term platform strategy.

The key focus of this role is to own solution architecture across customer implementations, ensuring local and regional requirements, regulatory considerations, integration needs, and industry trends are incorporated into practical, scalable, and maintainable solution designs.

You will engage directly with senior customer stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle, guiding architecture decisions, validating business and technical designs, and ensuring that solutions deliver measurable business value. You will partner closely with Business Architects, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and customer teams to shape solution direction, resolve design complexities, and enable successful delivery. As a senior member of the organisation, you will also mentor teams, strengthen solution governance, and contribute to the continued evolution of Odessa’s platform and implementation practices.

What you will do:

- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Odessa Platform implementations, ensuring alignment with customer business objectives, platform capabilities, and delivery best practices
- Provide leadership in guiding the evolution of the Odessa Platform to meet changing business requirements and regional specific requisites




- Support of the sales team in qualifying market fit for prospects and providing guidance during presales engagements.
- Partner with customer stakeholders to analyse complex business processes and translate them into scalable functional and technical solution designs
- Drive solution design workshops, architecture reviews, and decision-making forums with internal teams and customer groups
- Define and validate configuration, integration, data migration, reporting, and process design approaches across the asset finance lifecycle
- Provide architectural guidance during design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support phases
- Assess solution risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, and recommend pragmatic options that balance customer needs, delivery timelines, and platform standards
- Contribute to Odessa’s product evolution by identifying reusable capabilities, regional requirements, and emerging industry trends
- Support customer enablement through solution walkthroughs, application training, functional clarification, and executive-level solution communication
- Mentor Business Analysts, consultants, and delivery team members on domain concepts, solution design practices, and implementation methodology
- Support onboarding and capability development for new team members while strengthening local and global product and domain knowledge

Basic qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional experience
- 12+ years of experience in solution architecture, business consulting, implementation consulting, or senior functional roles across enterprise software implementations




- Strong experience implementing financial software, preferably in leasing, lending, asset finance, banking, or adjacent financial services domains
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into solution architecture, functional design, configuration strategy, and implementation roadmaps
- Experience working across the full software development and implementation lifecycle, including discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and support
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, data migration concepts, reporting needs, workflow design, client/server architecture, and database fundamentals
- Ability to lead customer-facing workshops, facilitate design decisions, manage ambiguity, and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience working with distributed global teams across product, engineering, delivery, and customer organisations
- Strong documentation skills, including solution design documents, requirements specifications, architecture decisions, test scenarios, and implementation artefacts
- Working knowledge of SQL and issue/project tracking tools such as JIRA or equivalent platforms
- Ability to travel at key points throughout the implementation process

Preferred Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with ERP, core banking, loan servicing, leasing, or asset finance platforms
- Deep domain expertise in equipment leasing, loan origination, contract management, billing, accounting, collections, or asset management
- Experience leading enterprise solution design for large-scale transformation or modernisation programmes
- Ability to engage confidently in business, accounting, and technology-intensive discussions with senior client stakeholders
- Strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex or high-pressure customer situations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, influence cross-functional teams, and drive decisions in a fast-paced implementation setting
