Role Description The Aviation Firefighter role is a contract, in office position based in Toowomba region. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to aviation-related emergencies, conducting fire suppression and rescue operations, and providing rapid intervention for aircraft incidents and emergencies. The role involves carrying out routine inspections of fire and rescue equipment, vehicles, and facilities to ensure operational readiness, as well as participating in drills, exercises,
and training to maintain competency and compliance with relevant standards.
Aviation
Firefighters will work closely with other emergency response and medical personnel, follow established procedures and safety protocols, and contribute to risk assessments and incident reporting. The position may also involve supporting broader site emergency response activities, including standby duties and proactive hazard identification.
