About the RoleThis is initially an uncapped commission-only contract position, with open-ended progression opportunities.
As our B2B Sales / Business Development Manager, you'll play a crucial role generating new corporate partnerships and building Tala Thrive's B2B client base. You'll identify prospective employers, government bodies, and organisations, contact decision-makers, and set up consultations to introduce our culturally competent mental health programs.
This role is about starting conversations with decision-makers, understanding their people's wellbeing needs, and ensuring we offer only the right programs for them. We assess the impact and outcomes of every partnership carefully, so you'll never need to over-promise or oversell what we offer.
This is a role you'll have significant autonomy to set your own pace and define your own career progression as the business grows
Responsibilities
- Build your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and lead follow-up with HR/DEI/People&Culture; leaders at corporates, government bodies, and other organisations
- Work closely with the founder and practitioners to understand what we can offer partners
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of an effective B2B sales strategy for workplace wellbeing partnerships
The ideal candidate
- B2B sales experience, ideally in health, wellness, HR/EAP, or SaaS
- A track record of turning cold outreach into lasting partnerships
- Skilled communicator - able to discuss the value of culturally competent mental health care with both People/HR leaders and executive decision-makers
- Passionate about driving growth while maintaining quality outcomes for the people we serve
- Honesty-first approach - only selling programs that fit a partner's needs
- Self-motivated, comfortable operating without a script or fixed KPIs
- Data-driven to help identify what works and what doesn't
- Comfortable using CRM and outreach tools, and open to using AI to work efficiently
