We’re a busy cafe and takeaway in Merimbula looking for a baker who takes pride in getting it right — someone who loves the rhythm of an early morning bake, works clean, and brings ideas to the table.

You’ll have creative freedom with flavours and products, access to quality ingredients, and an owner who backs you to do positive work. The hours are consistent, the team is supportive, and you’ll finish early enough to make the most of living on the coast.

This is 30 hours a week casual, with the potential to go full-time for the right person.

What a good shift looks like:

You’re in before the team, opening up and firing up the ovens and proofer. You work through your bake schedule, stay on top of prep for the next day, and have everything dialled in before the morning rush hits.



You own the bake from start to finish — no one hovering, no chaos. Clean down, job done, and you’re out by midday.

This role is not for you if:

- You need someone next to you to stay on task
- You cut corners on hygiene or processes to save time
- Early starts feel impossible, or you’re regularly late
- Feedback feels like criticism instead of help

What we’re looking for:

Someone who’s detail-focused, reliable, and open to learning. Experience is valued, but attitude and consistency matter more. Pay is based on the Restaurant Award (Level 2-3) depending on your skill level.
