About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly Bar Staff to join our team at Club Mudgeeraba on a casual basis. This role is based in Mudgeeraba, QLD 4213 and is fundamental to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining the high standards our members expect. As Bar Staff, you will be the face of our venue, responsible for creating memorable experiences whilst efficiently serving drinks and providing knowledgeable recommendations to our diverse clientele.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests with precision and flair

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, equipment and stock

- Processing payments accurately using our point-of-sale systems and handling cash responsibly

- Providing friendly and professional customer service, responding to inquiries and special requests

- Suggesting appropriate drinks based on customer preferences and offering knowledgeable recommendations

- Monitoring and managing bar inventory, alerting management to stock levels and potential reordering needs

- Adhering to responsible service of alcohol & Gaming practices and all relevant hospitality regulations

- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods





- Assisting with setup and breakdown of the bar area as required

What we're looking for

- Previous bar experience or hospitality background demonstrating your capability in this environment

- Knowledge of cocktails, beers, wines and spirits, with the ability to prepare drinks to specification

- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for engaging with people

- Excellent communication abilities and a positive, professional attitude

- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks along with keg changes.

- Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work varying shift patterns including evenings and weekends

- Current or willingness to obtain a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification

- Basic mathematics skills for handling transactions and calculating change

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Familiarity with bar equipment and point-of-sale systems is advantageous
